Targeted Phage Therapy uses bacteriophages (viruses that selectively kill bacteria) to precisely eliminate specific harmful microbes, offering a precision tool to rebalance the ecosystem and potentially combat antibiotic resistance.
Probiotics have the potential to increase responsiveness to cancer immunotherapies. In melanoma and lung cancer patients, modulating the gut with specific microbial strains may significantly boost T-cell infiltration and anti-tumour immunity, potentially doubling the clinical objective response rates compared to patients with an unfavourable microbial profile.
